ABOUT OUR POP
In the foothills of the Tararua Ranges, looking out to the wind farms you will find The Red Barn Park Over Property (POP)
We are all about providing a place to park your fully self-contained caravan/camper/motorhome where you can access electricity and water (if required) and still be close to all the amenities and activities in Palmerston North and Fielding
Our main POP area is between the Red Barn and the big red shed, from the edge of the paddocks to the road + we can accommodate a couple of caravans near the back of the brick house. It is a work in progress and our focus remains on it being a simple, easy to access, place for like-minded people, who share a passion for traveling, exploring and spending time in a rural setting, only 8km from the city centre
There is a walkway / cycle track, along Te Matai Road, from our entrance which takes you to the Manawatū Riverside Walkway entrance. Well behaved pets, are welcome!
There are four power points:
1. Caravan plug
2. NZ standard 3 pin plug
3. Caravan plug
4. NZ Standard 3 pin plug
We do have an adapter for one of the NZ standard plugs to a caravan plug
ABOUT US
The POP was started by the previous owners
Since March 2022, we have been continuing the POP as a sideline
We have enjoyed meeting all the lovely people who have stayed over on our Palmy lifestyle block
You will find us in the main brick house on the property, the barn is tenanted
